Also you need to take the medicines, details of vet clinic in the area you are visiting and a complete first aid kit including gauze, bandages, tape and antiseptic creams; with you on the vacation.
If you are travelling by air, then airlines provide fastest way to travel long distances. It can be slightly cumbersome and you need to find out the pet policy of the airline. Your pet must be eight weeks old and you must ensure with the health and immunization records of your dogs are in order, so that the airlines agree to carry then in the cabin or in the pet section. They would provide either of the two options – for small pets, you can have them in a pet carrier which fits below your seat. For larger pets, the pets would be kept in a separate portion of airplane with a comfortable temperature for the pet.
Accommodation:- You need to choose proper accommodation. Beside hotels they are many holiday cottages that welcome pets. These cottages are made for holidays with pets. They may take a small fee as cleaning charge. You should check this out before you book any cottages for pet accompanying holidays. Go through all there rules and policies and discuss everything, before you book your cottages with pet friendly accommodation.
Destination:– You should always choose your holiday destination which is suitable for your pets, the weather, the pet’s freedom and activities that you can involve with them, etc. all matters while planning a holiday.
Traveling with dogs or other pets is not very difficult if you carefully plan your holidays. A little amount of research, preparation and scheduling for the holiday would result in a wonderful memorable time for everyone on this family vacation.
